The blanket is getting big now.
So big that it is getting harder to take a photo of it over the chairs.
I have finished the beige with salmon coloured middles now.
Today I will finish joining the beige with cream middles.
I won't have much time this weekend because my daughter, son-in-law and three granddaughters will be coming to visit.
Sunday evening I will have some time on my hands.
Hopefully it will be finished next week.
I already have my next project in my head, and to be honest I've even tried a couple of things.
More about that in later posts.
I think that the nexted photo that I take of the blanket I'll lay it on the floor.

And This is The Blanket So Far
I have been busy working on my blanket.
What I have been doing the last couple of days is making all the round bits ready to be joined.
Well yesterday I finished making all the rounds they just have to be joined now.
Here are two photos of the middle of the blanket so you can see how it is going.
Today I will take the blanket with me to work because I will have time to join some today.
So more tomorrow.

Over Half Way
Last week I said I hoped to get half of the blanket finished.
Well I didn't quite get it finished but I nearly have now.
So this is it.
I think it's looking good.
What I am doing now is making piles of middle bits ready to join.
So if I join these I will be way over half way.
I hope to be able to join loads this coming week, because I will have a lot of time on my hands in the evenings.

African Flowers
For a while now I have been looking at all the wonderful photo's online of the African Flower Hexagon.
Well it looked quite difficult to me and I just couldn't quite get it.
I always have to read a pattern first and get it before I really try it out.
Well yesterday evening I found the pattern again (in Dutch) on Karin's site (see blog list 'Karin aan de haak", but like I said it is in Dutch).
And I got it!!!
And this is the result. (I made this one this morning)
I'm so so pleased with myself!!!!
Who knows maybe this will be my next project.
Thanks Karin or should I say Bedankt!!!!!

So far So GOOD!!!
This is what I have been doing over the Easter weekend.
I am really pleased with the way it is going and I love this joining as you go.
I will have quite a bit of time on my hands on Thursday and Friday evening, so I am now just making the middle bits which I will be joining onto the blanket Thursday and Friday evening.
I hope that I will then have the top half finished so that I can get a good idea of just how big it will be.
I have a feeling that I will need to make another round or two to get to the size I want.
