Hex Again

Although I haven't quite finished my ripple blanket yet, I've already started on my next project. dahhh!!! LOL!!!
It's a new Hexagon blanket.
Inspired by Cath Kidston's Star's pattern above.

And this is what it looks like.
The colours look a little darker in these photo's than they are in real life.

I have made two other Hexagon blankets in the past, using this pattern they are fun to work on.

This Blanket will be the same size as this one.
I use that blanket as a cover hanging over a chair in one of the bedrooms.
The new blanket will be for a change over the same chair.
Our cats like to sleep on that chair so it will be nice to have a change one.

Ripple

Today I had some good light in the house, so I took photo's while I had the chance.
Not far to go now with the ripple 27 rows left to do to be exact.
I am pleased with it. It's soft and fluffy.

And it's nice and warm too, because even though I haven't quite finished it I have wrapped it around myself a few times.

To be honest I will have mixed feeling when it is finished.
Glad at having finished it, but also a bit sad because it has been such a joy to make.
It as been one of those no fuss projects that you can just pick up and put back down anytime.

I will be making more of these ripples in the future that's for sure.

Edith Holden

Back in 1978 my brother bought me the book "The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady" by Edith Holden for my 20th birthday.
I loved the book the moment I received it and I still do.
But mostly it is just there on the shelf, I might look in it from time to time.
I'm so glad my brother wrote in it so that I know when it was he gave it to me.
Well yesterday evening I just had to think about it again, because I was thinking about finding nice pictures to post at the start of every month this year on my blog.
So I thought, "I wonder if the pictures are online somewhere?"
And they are!!!! I love the internet!!!!! So here is the link

And a few more January images.
