More (alot more) Granny Goodness

I've finished two of my three Big Granny Square Blankets!!!!!!

I went a bit mad taking photos!!!

This blue and cream one is for my granddaughter Megan
And this pink and cream one is for my Granddaughter Emily!!!!
On both of them I did a simple picot edging to finish them off.
What I did with the edging was this, I used up all the bits and bobs of wool I had over from the blanket.
I made them into a ball of wool that just change colour on my way around.
The pink middle looks darker in these photos.
So two down one to go.
I started on the 1st of June, so two blanket in a month!!!! Not bad at all.
The last one is coming a long nicely and I can spend all my time on that one now.

Granny Goodness part 2

So, here is some more of my Granny Goodness.
I wrote in my last post about the fact that I was planning on making three large granny square blankets for three of my granddaughters.

This Picture is of Emily's blanket which I am working on at the moment.
It's got a dark pink middle and other light pinks.
I'm now working on the cream coloured bit of the blanket.
It's over half way finished now, so coming along nicely.

This is Megan's blue blanket.
Now, this one isn't quite finished because I still have to decided on the edging and the colour of the edging.
But a part from that it is finished.

And this is the start of Katie's blanket with the light pink middle.
The reason I've started on this blanket already is because I took it to work with me the other day.
I didn't want to take Emily's blanket with me because it is getting quite big, so I started on kate's one.
I will of course take photo's of the whole blankets when they are finished but I don't want them to see them fully just yet.

Granny Goodness

It was Wednesday 1st June when I had my oldest daughter on the phone.
She told me that she was going to be wallpapering her daughters bedrooms that weekend.
So I thought to my self, now is the time to make the girls the Large Granny Square Blankets I'd been wanting to make for them.
So when I got off the phone I started on my oldest granddaughters one.
She is very into light blue, so this is a close up of it.
I can't post any photos of the whole thing yet because I don't want her to see it yet.
And get this!!! It's nearly finished!!!
I've had so much fun making it because it is something you can just pick up and work on without having to think much or count stitches.
It will be finished this evening maybe, or otherwise tomorrow, which means I finished it within two weeks!!!
But I am going to be making two more because my daughter has three daughters.
I am so pleased because it means that I'll be getting rid of loads of my stash yarn.
So lots more Granny Goodness to come!!!!

P.S. This means that I've put my Granny Log Cabin on hold for a while.

Granny Log Cabin

Here is a photo of my Granny Log Cabin Blanket that was taken a couple of weeks ago now.
It's grown a bit since taking this photo.
I really love working on this blanket, and I am taking my time and enjoying it.
