Today it is eight years ago that my Mum died.The year before Mum died she was here in Holland staying with us, because my oldest daughter, my Mum's oldest grandchild, was getting married.
Mum had planned to stay here for a couple of weeks, but she was taken ill while here and ended up staying longer.
She enjoyed looking at the plant (see photo) while drinking her tea in bed.
The flowers were all open at that time, they seem to be a bit later this year.
I now always call this plant Mums plant.

I added the top photo to this post today, taken this morning, because the first flower is open, isn't it just lovely.
